Overlapping environments

Just some neat synchronicity… this week is the acorn festival in Animal Crossing: Wild World, and this week there are a lot of acorns outside my apartment. I guess that the trees dropping acorns happens at around the same time, but I still think it’s neat, especially since the game is Japanese and I don’t know if they have the same kinds of trees there (I know nothing about this). There’s another overlapping thing… In Austin, apparently, the leaves on trees just turn brown and fall off this time of year, and don’t turn colors (or so I am told), which is kind of lame. In Potatown, the leaves will probably turn red and orange later on, but right now they are kind of turning a brown color that looks pretty familiar to me, hah. So, right now, Potatown is looking a lot like Austin, at least in terms of leaves and acorns.
