Lego Imperial Flagship

After a few more days I finished building the Lego Imperial Flagship! It’s very nice. There’s a lot of detail. I’ve got 50 pictures to show (including the two below). They tell a story (though not a very suspenseful one), and it should show nearly everything on the ship before the end. I’ll post the first two here, but (if you are looking from the main page) you’ll have to click a link to see the other pictures. As usual, if you click on the smaller picture, a larger one will open in a new window.

I just like the angle -- he's looking up at a part of the mast

this is one of the shipwrights, although he looks like he might be an escaped convict

this is another shipwright, they're here to make any last repairs or improvements to the ship and make sure everything is in good shape

first they do something strange to the mast, involving a chain and some other tools

checking that loading hatch thing. it opens and closes! there are two of them

hes repairing the lantern, but its a shame I didnt get a better angle, because the lantern has the nice detail of the inside with the colors, but you will see it again much later on

what do you call a ship's steering wheel? he's working on that

the shipwrights are getting off, and the three others are getting on. the shipwrights, by the way, are from the 2009 City Advent Calendar, they were just city workers there

see that little gear? if you turn that, it winds or releases the anchor

Brickside playing his organ. that's actually made entirely out of normal Lego pieces, I think it's really cool. the poison bottle is made of normal pieces too

that's the back of the ship (the stern, right?). you can see the detail around the windows and the railing and so on, but if you look up and toward the middle, you can also see the lantern a little bit. inside there is the captain's cabin you just saw.
