I have this Mystery that I don't understand. Some day I was talking with the students and they said that they've heard someone has seen something looking like a dinosaure in the cave ! So I go look and I just see the Wizard language you learn for incantations and spells... The first says "Who you ?" the second " Who you friend ?" What do I do !???

By the way, I put a little thought into the reading before doing it. My own reading of the poem is that the (original) speaker has freedom, and doesn't want to give it up for an eternity of some crappy, second-rate, settled (after)life.

But I decided that the robot has a slightly different interpretation. For the robot, the poem is more about escaping from robotic servitude. The robot doesn't have freedom to explore the universe, and thinks it sounds great. The robot also equates the ending of the poem (being "by the bridegroom's side") as continuing servitude and having to always be the willing friend and servant to his or her human owner. I kept those meanings in mind when recording the robot's voice.

I think that the robot's meaning can speak to us too, because even though we aren't robots, we are still trapped by conventional life and maybe yearn for freedom and excitement. I think that it's maybe a little harder to relate to the original meaning, since the poem was actually written by a man who had lived as a tramp and a seaman and already knew that freedom of rootlessness.

This doesn't have much to do with the dissertation chapter, but there it is.

Actually, what I saw around on the internet is that you'll get to be the mayor of the town. If that's true, it might point toward some town management features, along the lines of placing bridges or choosing between the light house or windmill (which were already in the last game).

Yeah, they'll probably add just a couple of new features but otherwise just copy the previous ones exactly. I think that if they actually make a new game this time around that it'll be pretty obvious.

I saw these and had a similar reaction. I'd love to play a real Animal Crossing sequel, especially on a portable, but it'll take a lot of work to convince me that this isn't just a port like City Folk (and I guess Wild World, for people who played the GC version).

Oh, and one thing about those pictures -- I stretched out that first pair of socks before putting them on (because I wasn't used to them) but now I just put them on and they fit more snugly, but still not tightly. But there would be many fewer wrinkles in the socks I'm wearing right now.
